The Suborbitals
Formed in 2003, The Suborbitals is an original low-rock band that features the baritone sax of Ben Herod and an incomparable rhythm section. “It's a unique sound...and dark. It’s really wonderful,” said Sleepy John Sandidge of KPIG. Popdust called The Suborbitals “wickedly tight burlesque strip club music, the kind you'd find at a gentleman's club on the wrong side of the tracks, rife with deep tones from the sax and theatrical vocals.” The SubOs have released two albums, Blackout Rolling (2006) and Hey Oblivion (2018). No Depression called the latter “quite unlike anything else you’ll hear in modern popular music today.”
