The Suborbitals

Formed in 2003, The Suborbitals is an original low-rock band that features the powerful baritone sax of Ben Herod and the incomparable rhythm section of Gordon Stokes and Heath Proskin. “It's a unique sound...and dark. It’s really wonderful,” said Sleepy John Sandidge of KPIG. Popdust called The Suborbitals “wickedly tight burlesque strip club music, the kind you'd find at a gentleman's club on the wrong side of the tracks, rife with deep tones from the sax and theatrical vocals.” The SubOs have released two albums, Blackout Rolling (2006) and Hey Oblivion (2018). No Depression called the latter “quite unlike anything else you’ll hear in modern popular music today.”

Booking note: The Suborbitals perform as a full quartet, a trio (without drums), and as a duo (Ryan and Heath).
